This past week's been spring break. The main trouble is that we all have so much to do it hasn't been much of a break. Portfolios are due for our internship applications on Monday.
Luckily, my friend Allison invited me to the outer banks of NC for a few days. I got out of the dungeon, which is ALWAYS good. (I'll take this quick opportunity to note that, sadly, the dungeon is my only home right now. I sold my house a few weeks ago. I haven't wanted to write about it because it makes me sad. That's all I'll say on the subject. At least for now.)
We had fun at a time share that Allison's parents let her use. She's an Art Director here and helped me get a few pieces together for my portfolio. The only problem we had was lack of internet. We went to a coffee shop a few times to get images and check e-mail. But that was it. For 3 days, I felt cut off from the world.
Speaking of that, I saw this skit for the first time last week. It's a parody of Survivor's Cook Islands. That was the one where they started off by dividing the "tribes" by race. This is so ridiculous that it's quite funny. What do you think?
