I write poems every now and then, and thought about posting some here. You're reading some sort of creative prose when you come here, so why not poetic verse once in a while?The drawbacks, I postulate, are that poems require a bit more energy to read and will likely mean different things to different readers. But that latter point applies to the other things I've written on this blog anyway.
I thought it would seem melodramatic or pretentious to just have a poem up one day without any explanation. If I post another poem, I'll feel free to do so with or without a prelude. So, without further adieu, the post that follows below is my first bloem.**
