For those of you that don't know her, this is Jasmine, a black Labrador mix. She is one of the most lovable dogs you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting. She is so lovable that even people who hate dogs love her (you know who you are, Uncle Al!).
One reason I decided to post both of these pictures is that my face is hidden behind Jasmine in the first one. That would have been ok since I think it's the better of the 2 photos and you all know what I look like anyway. But I'm posting the second photo, not because you can see my whole face but because Jasmine got caught with her eyes closed.
I've never seen a dog photographed with closed eyes (unless it is sleeping), even though it happens to humans all the time. "Take another one. I blinked." How many times have you said or heard that? Our canine friends never need a do-over because their eyes weren't open for the shot.
So what happened to Jasmine in that second picture? Perhaps she was embarrassed to be seen with me. Or maybe she was in the middle of batting her eyelashes at the guy taking the picture! This made me think what it would be like if dogs did online dating like humans. Jasmine could use the 2nd photo on her profile as an "alluring" shot to attract the guys:

age: 7 (in human years)
breed: black lab mix
breed(s) i want to meet: any
about me: i'm an exercise nut, and have been known to play fetch incessantly. you'll need lots of energy to keep up. i like to take walks and meet new people. i also love the outdoors no matter what kind of weather--i roll around in the grass and submerse myself in water in the warm months and eat snow in the winter.
i don't watch much tv, other than an occasional glance at a dog show or if a tv doorbell rings. i tend to sleep during movies and i take long naps when indoors. naps are especially good because i like to cuddle. i'm extremely affectionate. i'm great with kids, and parents always love me! if you're interested in meeting me, tell your parent(s) so we can plan a date.
