Here I am doing something reminiscent of "the pose." What's that you say? You don't know the silly, hands-in-the-air pose that I've done for photos since my college days? I guess I'll have to post a few of those pics at some point. For now, here I am on my new desk with my new light fixture. It looks pretty neat, particularly since the chandelier is unique and very different from what was there before. The design and flexibility of this fixture impressed me. There are many rods of varying lengths that connect together to change the look and height. There are also several small pieces with 3 raised rings on them that can be put in between the rods, or not. You can see them better when the photo is bigger. Using them makes the rods more decorative, if you so desire. I used 2 on each rod but you can only see 1 in this picture.
I told someone that a friend "helped me" put the light up. After I said that, I realized how ridiculous and misleading my phrasing was and corrected myself. Really, he installed the fixture and I assisted by getting tools and figuring out how low I wanted the shades to be in relation to the desk.
