I made a trip, including a visit to see a graduate school. The school told me I needed to either submit a video interview or do one in person before they'd review my application. I figured live would be better.I got a nice tour of the place and a feel for what the program is about, but I didn't have an interview. The woman I met with (it's hard for me to say "woman" since I'm guessing she was about 23 but looked more like 15!!) was really nice. But she's not part of the application reviewing group.
When she was saying goodbye and she hadn't asked me any of the interview questions, I was confused. Didn't I have to meet other people? Didn't they want to hear my brilliant answers to the questions I would have had to answer on the video?
"Don't I have to answer the questions that are on the application for the interview?" I asked.
"Oh, no," she said dismissively. "If you want me to take note of what your answers to the questions would be, I can do that. But you don't have to."
I'm still confused. At least if they don't accept me, I'll know it wasn't because of my interview!
